I used to live in Victoria, Canada during the last two years of high school. Being back to the town for one day this time was somehow different. Everything about the town itself was the same, but the familiarity is fading. I do remember the streets, the food, and the shops, but now, I'm a tourist rather than a foreign student, who wants to get out of high school and finally be a college student. I feels like going back to Victoria made me appreciate what a wonderful place I've lived in with beautiful scenery and outgoing people. As people say, you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone.
My friend from Korea came to visit me earlier in the summer, so I brought her around Bangkok area and also a short stay in Pattaya. It was a good chance for me to explore places I probably wouldn't have gone on a normal day.
